House Rules

House Rules

I think some house rules should be in order as you should remember this website has a target audience of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Please keep your comments polite, constructive and relative to Irish traditional music. These rules apply to rich media submissions such as images, video and audio clips. Please do not use the discussions to advertise products or services for profit or gain. If you decide to break the house rules then you will be immediately banned from the banjo blog, so don’t spoil it for yourself.

About the blog

The blogging software programme is similar to FaceBook and Twitter and currently has 2.5 million members. When you post a comment, chances are anyone around the world will answer your question, so be nice to each other out there and have fun.

Membership

It only takes a minute to register as a member of Pure Banjo and free of charge. You can choose any name for your membership but you should use your real name for the blog so as people know who you are. You can update your email address, name and other preferences from your membership profile and only one membership is allowed per person.

If you have any questions relating to the site please contact me through the contact link as this will be a private message though I can’t promise a quick response. When the questions begin pouring in I’ll top-up the F.A.Q’s to answer your inquisitive minds.

F.A.Q.

1. What topics should I discuss?

  • How about the tunes I have recorded on this site, are they too fast/slow to practice along with?
  • Have you attended a banjo/mandolin workshop lately? Talk about your experiences.
  • Are you attending any group instrument lessons or taking private lessons?
  • Reading music, reading tab, ABC or learn by ear.
  • Favourite players
  • Sessions
