Bacon & Day Special NO.2 Tenor Banjo

Written by Paul Conlon. Posted in For Sale

Bacon & Day Special Tenor banjo Style No 2 built in Groton, Connecticut around 1929. The B&D Special series was the next model down from the Silver Bell series. These banjos are very comfortable to play, and play they do! Beautiful deep rich tone with punchy bass on the G and D strings, A and E strings are also pure in tonal sound. The action is low and the neck is straight all of the way up the fret board. This banjo has been very well cared for and I would consider in excellent condition. If you own another vintage banjo and have never played a B&D you should definately check them out. They are robust and you can play them hard and they will hold their tune and tone. Enough said check out the video..

Comes with original vintage B&D case in great condition
