Here you will find the tunes we are learning for the Autumn / Winter term 2015-2016

This term we are learning two mazourka’s and also a selection of tunes from the School’s ‘Core Selection’. These are tunes that will be taught throughout the school and will be played by everyone at this years Christmas concert (don’t worry there is an opt out option!!). This is a great 4 part jig which I first heard from a recording by guitarist Tony McMahon. When researching the written source of the music I found this version from the playing of banjoist Enda Scahill. This version is named ‘The Champion’ and can be found in Enda’s ‘Irish Banjo Tutor Volume 2’
