1970’s Aria Tenor Banjo
|
a beautiful Japanese made 19 fret tenor banjo in mint condition. These were a copy of the Gibson mastertone banjos and they do host quality parts including the flathead tone ring. Mahogany neck with bound ivoriod side binding and inlaid black position markers. Rosewood fretboard with Gibson style MOP and good frets with hardly any play wear. £30mm bone nut with, ebony head stock bearing Aria logo floral inlay and trust rod cover. Good straight neck with low action with the backup of the installed trust rod. Quality Schaller tuners with black buttons and recently installed Clareen black head and maple/ebony bridge with plastic inserts. Clamshell tailpiece and engraved armrest, tube and flange skirt and zinc flathead tone ring giving this banjo loud but sweet driving performance, believe me it is a lovely banjo to play. Mahogany resonator with matching cream side bindings and Mother of Pearl inlaid centre design in the centre. As you’ll see from the photos this banjo is in A1 condition for an almost 50 year old instrument and has been well cared for. Comes with a new TKL deluxe tenor banjo case and has been reduced in price until Christmas.
