Deering Sierra 17 Fret Tenor Banjo
|
An excellent 17 fret tenor banjo for tune playing with a fast action Deering neck and awesome power of the Deering -06- 20 hole bell bronze tone ring. The Sierra short scale has a brighter & snappier sound than the 19 fret equivalent and is the most popular Deering professional model in this range. Made of mahogany with a slim comfortable neck and ebony fingerboard, the Sierra banjo will give you hours of lasting pleasure because it is made right and it’s easy to play up the fretboard with little effort. Has the sweet sound of mahogany with less sustain than maple or walnut. The pot or drum assembly is the best quality money can buy. It has a 3-ply maple rim, a top quality sand-cast bell bronze tone-ring, and a one piece cast zinc flange. In fact, it is the exact same pot used on most of the more expensive banjos all the way up to the Gabriella! This banjo is in almost new condition and comes with the Deering fitted deluxe hardshell case, these models retail at £2200
