Custom quality built maple19 fret open back tenor banjo with a host of features. The three piece neck is built from maple with centre ebony strip and ebony heel cap. Mahogany headstock with floral mother of pearl inlay and MOP trust rod cover. Rosewood fretboard with fancy floral position markers, white side binding and black dot side position markers. The neck is sleek and feels nice in your hand, low action, geared machine tuners and trust rod for stability. The block maple rim was built by a American luthier and is nicely finished with birdseye maple cap and mahogany binding. The rim is fitted with a flathead tone ring with give this banjo unbelievable power and sustain, the quality of this banjo can be felt in it’s weight. The neck is joined with a solid brass single coordinator rod and a brass thumb screw top rod stump, made by and installed by Patsy Toman. The shoes, hooks and nuts sets are solid brass/nickel plated from Balsam banjo works in USA. Fitted with clamshell tailpiece, maple & ebony bridge and white smooth top Remo 11″ head and nickel strings. Comes with brand new Clareen Polyfoam case.
